October 2021

Seaford Little Theatre

After taking the show up to Edinburgh Fringe 2021 the team came back filled with new ideas and experiences and put on 'Love In The Time Of Lockdown' for the third time, returning to a more local venue at Seaford Little Theatre. Once again we've received overwhelmingly positive responses after our performances from the 22nd-24th of October, giving us great confidence for our future endeavours.

The Play

SwanWing Productions had an unusual start - the actors met each other whilst doing play readings over Zoom during lockdown. One of the readings included work by new writer Saskia Wesnigk and the group were so impressed they decided to start rehearsing it over Zoom with a view to staging it after lockdown. After sell out shows in the Brighton Fringe, the cast then took the show to Edinburgh and were overwhelmed with positive reviews and capacity audiences.

The sell-out Edinburgh Fringe show that will have you laughing, crying and talking about how lockdown was for you, for your neighbour and for your friends. From harrowing to hilarious! Sex, cars and face masks! Love never stops, not even during lockdown, but it gets so much harder. These 17 characters have been lonely, alone or had not a moment of privacy. They have been brave or resigned, they’ve run away or stayed put and some had hallucinations – or did they…?
